Sebastian joined St Helen's in August 2026 from the Church of England, where he trained for ministry and served as a curate in the Diocese of Oxford. Before ordination he worked as a corporate lawyer.
An Anglican since infancy, he finds nourishment in the Anglican liturgical tradition and its sacred music; as a priest, he tries to live out the distinctive Anglican ideal of the “cure of souls" – the priest being alongside and witnessing to God’s love for every person, no matter who they are or where they are on a faith journey.
Sebastian is blessed by marriage to Heloise and two daughters, Aurora and Clotilda. The family also includes two cats and two guinea pigs.
